MISSION

DM1  : To provide state of the art resources that contributes to achieve excellence in teaching-learning, research and development activities. DM2 : To deliver knowledge among students through contemporary curriculum and modern pedagogical methods in the areas of electrical engineering and interdisciplinary areas. DM3 : To create and sustain environment of learning in which students acquire knowledge and learn to apply it professionally with due consideration of ethical and economic issues. DM4 : To nurture the personality traits among the students in different dimensions emphasis the ethical values and to address needs of the nation.

Programme Educational Objectives

PEO1: The students will have fundamental and broad knowledge in Electrical Sciences relating to industrial applications and research to design, analyze and synthesize information from various sources and think differently to provide solutions to their discipline. PEO2: The students will entrepreneurs, employees of reputed organizations, pursue higher studies and research for developing advanced skills in Electrical and Electronics Engineering PEO3: The students will exhibit technical and intellectual competency and will be amenable for life-long learning. PEO4 : The students will demonstrate technical knowledge and ethical values for professional development to meet the societal needs. The students will be able to work in multi-disciplinary environment by providing solutions to real time problems. PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences. PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. PO4 : Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments,analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. PO5 : Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools includingprediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.           Electricity has become the basic need for survival of human beings globally. From household to industrial plants, communication and satellite navigation system, electronic equipment, computers etc., all require electricity. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the core fields of engineering, always evergreen in terms of scope and job prospects and is multi-disciplinary in nature, representing a veritable synergy of different technologies ranging from Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Micro-Controllers, Digital Signal Processing and VLSI Design to core subjects of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of power, Power System Operation & Control, Electrical Machines and Power Electronics and their control using computer methods etc. In real life Electrical Engineers end up doing a very interesting and wide range of activities. Electrical Engineers are expected to have fantastic time with a rapid employment growth in the coming decade. There is a strong demand for Electrical Engineers in almost all industrial sectors.
